Every authored file here that describes the model is held to the model on every build, the site's own copy included: a number in a sentence is the number the build has, a relationship named is one the registry declares, a ring or an eval named is one the law catalogs under that label, the authored files the front doors list are the files the law declares, no sentence leaves in the manifest a section the kernel holds, and no word the model has retired is written anywhere but where it is declared retired.
What goes wrong without it
A sentence does not recompute. Three counts had already drifted when this was written, one of them saying seventy-four relationships of eighty-five; and four sentences still placed the grounding and the machine's kind in files that had stopped holding them. Prose a build checks is prose a reader can believe; prose it does not check is a second copy of the model, drifting away from it.

Each is a gate the build runs: a check inside a ring, a whole ring, or an eval beside them. A build stops at the first that refuses.

Where this model stands
scripts/ground/contracts.py holds every document under docs/ and both READMEs: counts by noun, relationship ids, the ring and eval catalogs under their own labels, the authored files against the law's own list, and any sentence that still puts a kernel section in the manifest.
The claims a change makes false are data too: a phrase that was true before a kind was populated, or before a metric computed from a formula, is refused once it stops being true.
law.json `vocabulary` names each word this model has retired and what to say instead, and the same ring refuses it in any authored file: the ground, the ledger, the documents, the build and the site's routes. The one file that may write a retired word is the one declaring it retired, and it may by construction, because that section is lifted out before the law is read rather than named as an exception.
What it does not claim
Only the claims the build can compute are held: a count, a name, a ring, a file, its role and a retired word. A sentence out of date in its reasoning rather than its facts is caught by reading, not by a gate.
A word is retired by hand, when it is retired. Nothing derives the list from a rename, so a rename that nobody records here leaves the old word legal until someone writes it down.
